Notifications

It is possible to receive notifications for some events as jobs and samples progress through the lifecycle. All notifications sent by email are from sender notifications@labhqlims.com.

The current list of supported notification types are:

Notification Type Description Subscribing Unsubscribing
User account verification Email Sent when a user account is created or a user with User Accounts:Manage  permission re-sends a verification email to an unverified account.
  • Email address set on the user account.
  • Archive user account
Password reset Email Sent when the user initiates a password reset, has forgotten their password or a user with User Accounts:Manage  permission resets a target user account password.
  • Email address set on the user account.
  • Archive user account
Job submitted Email Sent when a job is submitted. The notification will contain the job id, job description and client name.
  • User has the client added to their account, notifications enabled and did not submit the job themselves.
  • Deselect this option in the Configure Notifications section of your profile, accessed by pressing your user profile circle in the right-hand side of the app-header.
Samples received Email Sent when a group of samples are received. The notification will contain the sample identifiers for each sample selected.
  • Email address added to client contact email section
  • User has the client added to their account, notifications enabled and did not receive the sample themselves.
  • Deselect this option in the Configure Notifications section of your profile, accessed by pressing your user profile circle in the right-hand side of the app-header.
  • Remove email from client contacts section on the clients edit screen.
Samples approved Email Sent when a group of samples are approved. The notification content will contain the sample identifiers for each sample selected.
  • Email address added to client contact email section
  • User has the client added to their account, notifications enabled and did not approve the sample themselves
  • Deselect this option in the Configure Notifications section of your profile, accessed by pressing your user profile circle in the right-hand side of the app-header.
  • Remove email from client contacts section on the clients edit screen.

ℹ️ A user will still receive sample notifications if they have their email address registered as a client contact, regardless of whether they they have unsubscribed or not. Both the Configure Notifications and Client Contacts must be changed in order to fully unsubscribe.


Client Contacts can unsubscribe from notifications using the LabHQ Portal.
