Sample Certificate
A sample certificate is a certificate of analysis for a single sample within a job.
A sample certificate can be viewed and downloaded once the sample has been approved.
Alternatively, you can preview certificates once a sample has been submitted. These draft certificates will display a "NOT APPROVED" watermark.
Once the sample is approved a new certificate can be generated without the watermark.
Generated sample certificates for approved samples are automatically uploaded as an attachment on the sample.

Printing a Sample Certificate
Sample certificates can be printed from the View Sample screen:
- Select a job and scroll to the Sample Summary.
- Select a sample that has been received to enter the sample viewer screen.
- In the bottom left of the screen, click the [ Sample Certificate ] button.
- See here if any custom reports have been uploaded for a sample certificate.
- If you have custom sample certificate report templates uploaded on your account you will be prompted to select which template to use.
- The sample certificate will start generating, or in the case of an existing sample certificate being present in the sample attachments, will be downloaded from the attachments. This may take a few seconds.
- A new tab will appear displaying a PDF document for the sample certificate.
- If the sample has not been approved a draft sample certificate will be produced with a "NOT APPROVED" watermark.
📒 Sample certificates are automatically uploaded to the sample attachments for approved samples. If a sample certificate is downloaded a second time the original copy stored in the sample attachments will be returned.
Sample certificates can also be downloaded at the point of sample approval on the Approve Samples screen.
On the Approve Samples screen, click the [ Download ] button on the sample row to generate the PDF document.
Regenerating a Sample Certificate
By default, any attempts to download a sample certificate if one has already been generated will result in the original certificate being downloaded from the sample attachments. If an updated certificate is required, i.e. if some data has changed, a user with the Samples: Regenerate sample certificates
permission can generate an updated sample certificate.
Sample certificates can be regenerated on the View Sample screen.
The newly generated report will be saved in the sample attachments as usual and will be the one downloaded when using the [ Download Sample Certificate ] button.
