Reverting Samples
It is possible on some lifecycle stages to revert samples to previous lifecycle steps for amendments.
Currently, it is possible to revert verification and revert approval.
📒 After reverting a sample, the job’s status will also be recalculated to be the lowest denominator of all the job’s samples.

Reverting Verification
Any tests that have a status of Results Verified
can be reverted for amendments.
This action requires the Lifecycle: Revert verification
permission on your user account.
To revert a test:
- From the job list on the dashboard, search for the job you wish to revert verification for.
- Click on the job to go to the view job screen.
- In the samples list, click on the sample for the test you wish to revert verification.
- In the tests list, select the 3 dots icon on the test row and select [ Revert Verification ].
- The test status will revert to
Results Submitted
.
📒 Steps 2 and 3 are not required if you are using the sample viewer on the dashboard.
After reverting verification, it is possible to modify inputs for the test via Enter Results.
Reverting Approval
If a sample has been prematurely approved, it’s possible to revert approval and send the sample back to the Results Verified
stage.
This action requires the Lifecycle: Revert samples
permission on your user account.
To revert approval:
- From the
Approve Samples
screen or the sample viewer on the dashboard, click on the Sample ID of the sample you want to revert. - Select the 3 dots icon in the header panel and then select [ Revert Approval ].
