Specifications

You can select a product specification that will be compared against a sample in the 'Receive samples' section of the lifecycle.

These specifications will be used for test result comparison during the lifecycle and when producing sample certificate reports.

Setting a Product Specification for a Sample

  1. Once a job has been successfully submitted.
  2. Select Lifecycle > Receive Samples to go to the Receive Samples page.
  3. Search for the submitted job.
  4. Here you will see the samples related to that job.
  5. Under the Specification column you will see the option to select from all the currently published specifications for that product sample.

â„šī¸ Only one product specification may be selected per sample for comparison.

  1. Once you have chosen the required specification you can check the sample and click the [ Receive ] button to complete the process.


Viewing Sample Specifications

On the View Sample page, you can view the specification associated with your sample under the sample details section. If no specification is attached to your sample, a hyphen (-) will be displayed instead.


Editing Sample Specifications

If your user account has the Samples:Change specification  permission, it is possible to set a different specification to your sample. To do this:

  1. View the sample you wish to change the specification for.
  2. Under the Sample Details section, select the [ Edit ] button to enter edit mode.
  3. Click on the Specification field.
  4. A list of all specifications configured for your samples product will be displayed.

  1. Select your desired specification and click the [ Save ] button.

Upon saving, any tests will be recalculated in accordance to the new specification and the UI updated accordingly.

📒 You can set no specification by selecting the blank option in the list of specifications and clicking [ Save ].
