Accessing Manage Work

To access the Manage Work screen:

  1. Select the Lifecycle > Manage Work menu item.
  2. Alternatively, select the [ Manage Work ] icon located in the header.

Upon accessing the screen, a list of jobs available for workbook creation will be displayed.

Creating a Workbook

Workbooks can be created for one or more jobs within the same client. To display a list of jobs, you must first select a client using the client dropdown. If you only have one client, the client will be selected by default.

Only jobs with a status between In Test  and Results Entered  will be displayed in the jobs table. Jobs outside of this status range will not be visible.

To create a new workbook:

  1. Select a job from the table. You can select one or more jobs to add to the workbook.
  2. Click the [ Create Workbook ] button located at the bottom right of the screen.

A new workbook will be created, and all tests associated with the selected jobs that do not currently have a workbook will be assigned to the workbook.

Your workbook ID will be shown on screen. Select [ Create a New Workbook ] to repeat the process as needed.

📒 Any tests added to a job after workbook creation can be assigned to a new workbook.

📒 Deleting a test will also remove it from its associated workbook, ensuring that the workbook only contains relevant tests.

Viewing Workbooks In Progress

A workbook in progress is a workbook that contains one or more jobs that are not yet approved. Select the [ View Workbooks ] button at the bottom left of the Manage Work screen to show the list of workbooks.

The View Workbooks screen displays the workbook ID and a comma separated list of job IDs, ordered by newest first.

Downloading a Workbook

The Lifecycle: Download Workbook  permission is required to use this feature.

A workbook can be downloaded from the Manage Work screen once a workbook has been created, by selecting the [ Download Workbook ] button at the bottom of the screen.

📒 See Printing Custom Reports if any custom reports have been uploaded for a workbook.

Re-downloading a Workbook

Existing workbooks can be re-downloaded from the View Workbooks screen. This requires the Lifecycle: Download Workbook  permission, and a reason for change must be entered if the Require Reason for Change setting is enabled.

All workbook re-downloads are tracked in the audit trail under the Workbook → Re-downloaded audit action.
