Can I setup MFA for my account?
Yes, LabHQ supports MFA to enhance security by requiring users to verify their identity using an additional method of authentication method beyond just a password. MFA reduces the risk of unauthorized access, even if login credentials have been compromised.
1. How does MFA work in LabHQ?
If MFA is enabled for a LabHQ organisation , users must complete two authentication steps to access their account:
- Something you know - Your standard LabHQ username and password.
- Something you have - A secondary authentication factor, either:
- A one-time password (OTP) sent via email
- An authentication app
2. How do I enable MFA in LabHQ?
MFA can be enforced for all users in your LabHQ organisation within the administrative settings. To set it up:
- Go to Administration > More Settings.
- Click on Settings > Configure.
- Locate the Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication setting and set this on.
- Save changes.
After setup, all user accounts within your organisation will be required to use MFA every time they log in.
