Stock Quantities

Stock quantities within LabHQ support decimal values to allow for more precise tracking and usage of stock items. This is applied consistently across all areas of the application where stock quantities are entered, calculated or displayed.

Accepted Values

Stock quantities may be entered as whole numbers or decimal values.

Up to 3 decimal places are supported (e.g. 1, 1.2, 1.23, 1.234). Values with more than 3 decimal places are not accepted.

Data Consistency

All stock quantity fields follow the same precision rules across the system.

Entered values are stored and displayed exactly as entered, up to 3 decimal places. System calculations use the full entered precision and do not round in a way that causes loss of accuracy within the 3 decimal place limit.
