Validation Environment

To support testing and compliance, we provide a dedicated validation environment for all LabHQ customers. The validation environment is a blank, non-production instance of LabHQ, meaning it does not contain your live production data and is intended solely for testing purposes.

Customers can use the validation environment to safely explore and validate upcoming features and changes before they are deployed to production. It is ideal for running test cases and internal validation processes.

Key benefits include:

• Early preview of upcoming features.
  • Changes are deployed to the validation environment every two weeks, so you can see the changes before they are deployed to production at the end of every quarter.
• Test features or configuration changes without impacting your production data.
• Supports your internal validation process.

⚠️ The validation environment should only be used with test data. Please do not enter or store live production data in this environment as it does not offer the same level of security as the production environment.

Environment Access

Access Request

Access to the validation environment is not enabled by default for all users. If you or members of your team would like access to the validation environment, please submit a ticket to our support desk via support@thelabhq.com and include the full name and email addresses of all users.

Our team will then setup separate accounts for requested users and an email invitation will be sent out, from which users will be prompted to finish configuring their account and setup a password.

Login

Access to the validation environment requires a separate set of credentials from your normal production login and the environments are accessed via different URLs:

• Production Environment: https://app.labhqlims.com
• Validation Environment: https://validation.labhqlims.com

⚠️ These are separate environments. Please ensure that you are using the correct URL for your intended activity.

Visual Indicator

To help you quickly identify which environment you are working in, the LabHQ app always displays the environment name in the header (production or validation ).

Switching Between Environments

You can switch between the production and validation environments using different methods depending on your starting point.

From Production to Validation: In-App Menu

1. Click on your User Profile in the top right of the app.
2. Select "Validation Environment" from the menu.
3. You will be redirected to the validation environment login page.
4. Log in using your validation environment credentials.

From Validation to Production: Direct URL

To return to the production environment, you will need to navigate to:

• Production Environment: https://app.labhqlims.com

You will then need to log in using your production environment credentials.

💡We suggest that you bookmark both URLs and label them clearly (e.g. LabHQ - Production and LabHQ - Validation) to avoid confusion.

Deployment Schedule

All updates to validation are finalized 30 days before the quarterly deployment to production to allow time for customer testing and feedback.
